LAKE WINNIE FISHING REPORT

Walleye bite on winnie coming into fall is nothing short of hot. Spinners tipped with minnow or crawler or small crank baits are the best tools now to cover water. Schools of fish are going on top of the main lake bars and feeding. Gold and firetiger blades are a good start. Cranks in the number fives or sevens is a good start. Firetiger , purplessence and perch are good choices .Depending on the wind and clouds fish are being caught from five feet out to the 14 foot area. Most all of the points near rocks have fish on them. These fish you can jig them up with a fathead.

Perch are scattered on the rocks. nine to eleven inchers are the size biting now. Jigs and fatheads working well for them.

Pike are hitting well also. Some larger fish are starting to come in. Trolling cranks but a bit smaller in size is the best bet now. Look to weed edges and the edges of the main lake bars.

Water temps are still warm for this time of the year. Take advantage of the good weather and get some of these fish. See you on the lake Pat.
