LAKE WINNIE FISHING REPORT

Walleye action doing well . Cover water. Troll spinners tipped with leech or crawlers. Look to the tops ove the structures. 13 to 18 feet of water will put fish in the boat. If you find a decent pod you can then slow down and rig or jig them. Seems that the 15 to 16 inch fish is the norm. Evening fishing into dark is a good time to run cranks of of the weed edges. Troll smaller 5s or 7s in shad raps.

Perch are now moving in out of the deep. New weed lines are working as is any rocky areas. Look to 6 to 12 feet of water. Jigs and a fathead works well. Big Stoney , Mallard point and the weed edges in Tamarac bay all producing.

Larger pike are getting active as the water warms up. Bar edges in the 14 to 23 foot range working well. Large minnows rigged or larger crank baits trolled both working well.

Summer patterns are in full swing. Several bite windows through out the day is the norm , but they are shorter periods of time. See you on the water. Pat.
