Lake Winnie Fishing Report July 5th 2018
Hello From Lake Winnie.
Walleye action still very good. Humps and Mian lake bars still the ticket. Rigs and crawlers or leeches have been the best presentation. Spinner bite has slowed up. Mayfly hatch is going on now for four days. Water is getting warm , mid 70 degree range. Bite windows are shorter this time of the year but several occur during the day. Trolling smaller cranks late in the evening is putting some eyes in the boat . Look to the weed edges in 7 to 9 feet of water.
Perch are getting active at this time also. Look o weeds in 5 to 8 foot with small jigs and minnows. Sort through and it is easy to get fish in the 10 inch range .
Pike bite is going well also at this time. Trolling large spoons at 4 mph working well. The same weed edges where you are getting perch, in the 5 to 8 foot range..
