Lake Winni Fishing Report for June 2, 2017

Big Winni walleye action is doing very well this week! The shoreline drops are still producing in the wind. If you're seeing less wind on the water, move out to the main lake structures. Sugar Bar, Horseshoe Bar and Bena Bar, all working with the wind into them or along them. The humps north of the main lake bars all have some walleye on them. Look to leeches and crawlers as the water continues to warm up. Now, the minnow bite is still good, though. Rigging up off the bottom a foot works well as do jigs with shiners.

Perch action has been good also, Big Stoney in 8 to 12 feet of water are producing perch. The west side from Little Stoney thru Townsite, is also going well for perch.

Water is on the clear side, so long-lining away from the boat is the ticket to getting fish.

See you on the lake!
